ETHICS-DRIVEN, FIREFIGHTER-OWNED COFFEE COMPANY

As a massive commodity—particularly in the West—the coffee bean industry is one of the largest sites of forced labor around the world. The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 150+ million child slaves working to produce many of our everyday purchases such as coffee and cocoa. This is a staggering number and a sad situation.

Engine 4 Coffee does not buy from any producer that is not ethical and pays fair wages to all laborers. Does this cause our coffee beans at times to cost more than other places you may find on the internet? Sure it does but for a company that is owned and operated by a firefighter, we stand on ethics.
